From the breakfast menu, try one of five varieties of Eggs Benedict – Classic with Canadian bacon, Grilled Beefsteak Tomato Florentine; Signature Turkey Sausage Benedict; Smoked Salmon Benedict with Fresh Dill Hollandaise; or Crabcake Benedict with Whole Grain Mustard Hollandaise. Made-to-order omelets can be made from an array of available fillings. Named in honor of Detroit’s roots, the ‘Big Three Omelet’ is a specialty along with a Southern Hospitality favorite; Chicken and Waffles. An extensive choice of breakfast sides, breads and meats lists house breakfast potatoes, baked goods with Michigan fruit preserves, plain or jalapeno cheese grits and DBH&G Private Label Turkey Sausage among the offerings.
A variety of frittatas highlight the breakfast menu, including the Greektown, the Frittata New Orleans with Shrimp and Creole sauce; the Meat Lover’s Frittata; and the Santa Fe, with chorizo sausage, peppers, cilantro and Monterey Jack cheese, topped with green chilies. Or go traditional with pancakes or Belgian or specialty waffles, gravlox and bagels, or the classic meat-and eggs breakfast, with your choice of a petite filet, petite strip steak or breaded veal cutlet.
In keeping with metro Detroiters’ love of great coffee, the Detroit Breakfast House will serve its own custom coffee blend, made exclusively for the restaurant. The full-service coffee bar also features espresso, cappuccino, lattes, frappuccino, flavored sodas, smoothies, and aromatic hazelnut, almond or amaretto-flavored coffees.
For lunch and beyond, mouth-watering fare includes an array of sandwiches, pasta and salads using fresh and innovative flavor combinations - the hallmark of the Southern Hospitality Restaurant Group establishments. Craving a great sandwich? A must have,,, Fried Chicken and Waffle Club. You’ll have to try this one for yourself. The Pulled BBQ Chicken Quesadillas, New Orleans Style Oyster Po’Boy and the Buttermilk Chicken Breast Sandwich are among the tasty selections. Pastas include the Grills Pasta, with Italian sausage, zucchini, Roma tomatoes, fresh jalapenos and black beans in a creamy Parmesan sauce; Grilled Chicken and Mushroom Fettuccine Alfredo; Pizza Pasta; and Primavera tossed in Alfredo or fresh basil marinara sauce. Tasty entrees include the Catfish Duet, consisting of two catfish fillets, once blackened and one deep-fried, served with dirty rice. The salad menu features a Pulled Chicken Salad and Barbeque Tuna Salad, as well as Chicken Caesar, the Deli Salad, and Fresh Spinach Salad with Granny Smith apple wedges, crumbled bleu cheese and hot bacon dressing.
